For our Centenary, we have produced a Quiz for anyone to have a go. It includes 30 Easy (E), Medium (M) and Hard (H) questions on the earlier schools and is intended to take a while to complete. You may wish to enrol your family Internet experts to assist the searching. Remember search engines can be your friend on some occasions. This quiz is not serious; it is intended for your amusement and information, and is not intended to cause any upset or distress. Apologies for not including questions on the more recent history of the schools.
Rules:
Everyone is welcome to attempt the Quiz, except for the OPA Joint Webmasters (i.e. Quizmaster) who are deemed ineligible. The Quiz ends at midday on the day of the Centenary Reunion. All answers may be found on our website or on Wikipedia or on other related websites, i.e. no personal knowledge will be required and each answer will be documented somewhere on the Internet. The answers will be announced at the Reunion and posted here after the Reunion. Anyone found editing Wikipedia to ensure a correct answer will be disqualified.
If you wish to compete for the Prize, then please email your answers or bring your printed or handwritten answers to the Reunion. Only one submission per person will be allowed. Answers to individual questions will not be accepted.
Please email your answers up to the day before the Centenary Reunion. Previous email submissions may be substituted at the discretion of the Quizmaster up to the day before the Centenary Reunion, but only one submission per person will be allowed. No email will be inspected on the day of the Reunion.
Alternatively, please bring me a printed or handwritten copy of your answers before midday (effectively, before the AGM) at the Centenary Reunion. Previous submissions may be substituted at the discretion of the Quizmaster, but only before midday at the Reunion. Marks may be deducted for poor handwriting...
The winner will be that person attending the Centenary Reunion who has delivered or emailed me the highest number of correct answers. A tie-break question may be used to separate people with equal highest scores. There will be a modest (drinkable) prize awarded to the Winner at the Reunion.
There will be honorable mentions recorded for the highest score by those people unable to attend the Reunion, but no prizes will be awarded for this category even if their score is highest.
The Quizmaster's decision will be final in all matters, even when he is wrong.
